Why did God decide to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah?
This is an excellent question. I love this question, because it’s a great way to tell the difference between people who have read the Bible, and people who haven’t.
The Bible is direct, clear, and simple in its precise explanation of the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, and it isn’t what biblically illiterate “Christians” think.
Read Ezekiel 16:49-50:
Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy. They were haughty and did detestable things before me. Therefore I did away with them as you have seen.
