Mhy are so many vaccinated kids catching measles?
The vaccinated children are mostly catching measles from the kids whose parents refused to vaccinate their own. The difference is that the vaccinated kids will develop a fever, a mild headache and a relatively few annoying spots. The unvaccinated children will have high fevers, all-over body aches and be covered in red spots. Some may have to go to a hospital. Some may even die.
Vaccines are not disease-preventing silver bullets. They allow the body to enhance its own immunity system by introducing a mild form or dose of the disease. As a result, when the real deal comes along, the child’s (or adult’s) body will “know” what to do to contain the disease and prevent a worst-case scenario.
